About Us
For the last 25 years we have operated a wholesale Rhododendron Nursery. We have always grown a large garden and have been growing mostly organic vegetables for years. Our niece, Judy Lessler, the owner of Harland Creek Farm in Chatham County, got us started growing vegetables for the public. We formed a CSA and we are learning all the problems of being totally organic. Even though I taught Horticulture, we have lots to learn. We are are trying to grow what our members want.  Growing in the ground and in pots are two different things. We are doing a lot of experimenting. Some things work better than others. Our goal is to furnish you with fresh vegetables over as long of period as we can, using greenhouses as well as growing in the ground.

Company history
Thomasson Farm has been owned by Jean and L. Q. Thomasson for over 50 years. It has been a Dairy, Tobacco Farm and a Nursery. In the Spring of 2008 we formed a CSA. Jean was a Middle School teacher and I taught Horticulture. She retired in 1985 and I retired in 1987. She was reared on a vegetable farm in Virginia and I grew up on a farm near here.
